When we’re in search of a new beginning, we can often feel it is a necessary measure to take to fall in love all over again with our passions. It’s the perfect way “freshen” things up… to shrug off the old,  and familiarize ourselves with a reinvention. Just taking that little leap of faith sometimes means listening to that little inner voice, it just might be what it takes to step forward in confidence & rediscover ourselves en route to an exciting and refreshing new venture! The perfect remedy for transforming what may feel ‘blah’ and mundane: Explore and discover the unknown. Reinvent what may already be present and force ourselves to think outside the box … and become RE-inspired!!! WOOOHOOOOO

It was quite the process narrowing a winner from all the submissions this past year! But I think I’ve made a decision…

I’d like to begin by thanking all who submitted entries for the NEW & ANNUAL {MCP} FREE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE courtesy of Mme Shutterly~MelissaCranniePhotography. I loved hearing the stories of why you thought you should win the giveaway…it made it so tough to choose!

A couple who could use my help and make their day just that much more special, and easily achieved. A way to say Thank You and give back for a fantastic first 5 years in business. And it starts here…

I am officially introducing a totally new & cool dynamic that will take place Annually in the ‘World of {MCP}’. Each year I’ll be donating my time, creativity, & passion to one local, super deserving, couple who are getting married and in need of a break + a totally cool Photographer to capture their day…FOR FREE!

HOW IT WORKS:

I will be taking submissions by e-mail annually to: melissacrannie@gmail.com asking you to give me full details of why the 2 of you would be perfect candidates to receive FREE WEDDING COVERAGE courtesy of MelissaCranniePhotography for your upcoming Wedding! The couple whose story completely moves/motivates me, will be the winners of this FANTASTIC {MCP} PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPERIENCE valued at $2250.00!

TO ENTER:

1. Send your name, all contact info, Wedding date & current photo of the 2 of you to melissacrannie@gmail.com & explain in full detail why you think you and your partner would be the perfect candidates to win this!
2. Entries for 2013 Weddings must be submitted no later than: Dec 30th, 2012 for 2013 consideration.
3. The winning couple will be announced via e-mail, {MCP} blog post,  MelissaCranniePhotography’s facebook page & the {MCP} website on Jan 7nd, 2013!
4. Wedding must take place within in an approx 45km radius of Owen Sound at the discretion of {MCP} {i.e inside the parameters of Mar, Port Elgin, Chesley, Durham, Collingwood area}
5. All entries must be true to their word & wholeheartedly honest! ;)
6. Couples can be nominated by someone else, simply by submitting all the info for the couple you feel is so deserving… just follow all the steps in #1!
7. Should I be unable to decide on a winner {too many deserving couples} a tie breaker style will happen by means of publicly posting the photo & story of the couple on the {MCP} Blog for the ‘people’ to place their vote on who they think should win the FREE Wedding coverage! {Of course friends, family, co-workers, pets, etc. can place their votes at that time!}

T’is the Season…

Yes, I’m still here…

With all my 2011 shoots edited and out the door, I’m finally easing into the festive Season! There’s tons of posts coming your way, show-casing all the Summer/Fall sessions I’m excited to share!

Just a quick note…

Dear followers, creepers, and curious one’s alike…

I am in the midst of a maternity leave wrap up and editing room overload!!!
It has been a fabulous year for {MCP}, a busy and super quick 365 days!

My rad Prince Hawkz is about to turn 1yr old, I’m prepping to head back to work, booking furiously for 2012 & 2013, and still….yes, STILL… mastering the fine art of “BALANCE” to best ‘mesh’ both home life & work, all comfortably into a nice calming ‘flow’ of events! {HA!}

Once I have all {MCP} images back out & into their lovely homes, there will be a fury of blog posts coming your way!

Thank you to all my patient & understanding clients who stood by me as I tried to cut back to be with my family for this year. I sure do appreciate the support & care I received during this time. I’m excited & look forward to the future. Thilled to get meeting new people, capturing some more amazing moments, seeing familiar faces once again, and learning and expanding on this passion that I cherish and truely love. Shout out to my Photo Chicks for having my back during my pregnancy & mat leave…much appreciated Chickies, & can’t wait for our weekend in November!!! xo

FIVE WHOLE BIG GIRL YEARS. WOWZA WOWEE WOW!

Our annual Birthday Girl Photoshoot has become, not only a lovely tradition, but an intense, ‘perfect location scout out’ by the young and lovely Jolie  herself! She’s photogenic and growing faster and bigger by the minute. She’s totally ‘off the cuff’, super cute, and best of all… she’s mine {OK Ok, OUR’S… I can’t take full credit for this little gem ;) …she’s a whoooole lotta daddy! Lucky me. Lucky World! xo}

Lindsay + Greg = love. [MelissaCranniePhotography | Owen Sound & Grey/Bruce area | Wedding Photographer]

You may remember the E-sesh I did for Lindsay & Greg just a short time ago… the time had come for the couple to Wed, and they couldn’t have asked for a better day!

The two did an untraditional “meet before the ceremony” rendezvous, where shortly thereafter, we shot all of the Wedding Party & Family photos… such a GREAT idea in my opinion! We managed to get all the ‘hard stuff’ out of the way and everyone happily feasted, & even had time to chill & enjoy the day before the ceremony & reception festivities began!

Now, I just couldn’t get enough of those shoes Linds…  I LOVE when Brides do CRAZY shoes for their Wedding day, so fun!

I was also happy to share a perfect Wedding date {July 9th} with such a perfect couple! I still can’t believe 6 years ago to the day, you caught the bouquet at my Wedding Linds… Little Miss “I’m never going to get Married” …Pfffft! We all knew you’d change your mind once you found your perfect Price… “never say never Linds” ;) ;) Greg is just perfect, you guys make a perfect match!
